Tragedy struck on Sunday night when a mass shooting occurred, injuring over 500 people, many of whom were a part of the Las Vegas community. Throughout the city people have been showing support for the victims and their families by donating blood, time, and money.

#VegasStrong has been trending and getting the word out about what happened and how to help. This hashtag can be seen all over town and through our own school.  Student Council used chalk to write the hashtag in giant colorful letters in the middle of the quad. Students took time to stop and admire the art and remember what happened to our city.

Palo Verde will be holding a blood drive on Oct. 10th for those who wish to help but can’t make it to another blood bank to donate.
