According to The Howard Hughes Corporation, The Las Vegas 51s will have a new home in Summerlin. The stadium will be constructed in Downtown Summerlin, adjacent to City National Arena which is the training center for The Las Vegas Golden Knights. It will have 10,000 seats and the construction will begin in early 2018. The stadium could be finished by the beginning of the 2019 season. Although the 51s will have to look for a new major league team before the 2019 season, due the New York Mets reaching an agreement to buy the Syracuse Chiefs, management is not concerned. In addition to that, The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority obtained naming rights for the stadium in a 20-year agreement that was approved and will cost $80 million dollars. The field will be named Las Vegas Ballpark and will contain numerous features. Some of those features are 22 luxury suites, club seats, berm seating, party zones and decks, a kids zone and a pool beyond the outfield wall. Stadium parking will be located on neighboring sites. The new stadium will be a pleasant surprise to the team due to their current stadium being one of the most run down stadiums in the minor league.
