Jumanji: Welcome to The Jungle uses a charming cast with a humorous twist to offer an undeniably entertaining movie.

Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a 6.1 out of 10. A lot of people expected the movie to be another one of those horrible movies to make money. Many also believe that the only reason people saw the movie was because of the stars in it.

According to KJ Proulx, “ I won’t be comparing it to the original because they both fit their times.” Many people are comparing the two movies, but this review really puts it into perspective as to why these movies can’t be compared.

However, the characters portrayed by Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan are nearly impossible to dislike, as the roles require them to be teenagers trapped in adult bodies. They handled situations in a way that the teens from the beginning would have and brought the characters to life. It was really intriguing to see the awkward and confused teens fight their way through the film.

Throughout the movie there were hilarious one-liners that you can’t help but laugh at. The dialogue was well written and managed to give each character their own personality. It also helped to remind you throughout the movie that it was actually teenagers trapped inside these adult bodies.

The movie has almost everything almost perfect including the graphics, which managed to fulfill the objective of making the characters look like they are within a video game. Since this is a video game, each character has three lives, which means we’re treated to periodic scenes of our leads being killed off in creative ways. It also creates real suspense in the action sequences, since Smolder Bravestone (Dwayne Johnson), or Ruby Roundhouse (Karen Gillan), really could fall off that bridge or get eaten by those animals.

Jumanji: Welcome to The Jungle is a phenomenal movie that fits its time period and gives a joyous laugh to anyone who watches it. This movie offers humor to everyone watching no matter the age group. It’s got the adult humor scattered throughout along with plenty of jokes for the little ones, giving everyone a chance to laugh their heads off.
