On Thursday, Aug 23rd, the first pep rally set off the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year.

Palo held a pep rally for the first football game of the season in the Panther quad. Performances from all three cheer teams and both dance teams gave the Palo Verde students quite the show.

To make it even more memorable, student council handed out Otter Pops to every student at both lunches to combat the blazing heat.

With the Palo Verde Football Team advertising and promoting their first game, the audience got a glimpse into what the football season has to coming.

Varsity Dancer, Ryan Colvin, said “The experience really got us ready for the upcoming year of dancing, games, and school spirit.”

Maddie Brown, one of the students who witnessed the show, “The whole lunch was involved in some way, and I truly feel like the whole pep rally brought the Panthers together, and got students excited for the nearing season.”

As the Palo student body cheered on the performances, pride in the Palo Verde athletic community rose and the official football season started with a bang.
