Palo Stands Tall for the Last Pep Rally of the Season
November 29, 2019
On Friday, November 22, Palo students enjoyed watching an amazing performance in the quad during both lunches to rally up players and supporters alike for the quarterfinals match against the Centennial Bulldogs. The Panthers were able to witness the school’s dance team and cheerleaders perform a show to get the school body energized for the second playoff game of the season.
The boys put up a strong fight against the Bulldogs unfortunately, they came up short bringing an end to their outstanding season.
“This season exceeded mine and everyone’s expectations because we weren’t set out to do as well as we did. We had the best season at Palo in a long time, even though we did come up short there were many great things that happened. The games are just a small part of the season and I think throughout it all we all grew closer,” said senior team captain Tyler Quinn.
The Panthers finished the season with an overall record of 8-4 and a league record of 4-2.
“I’m going to miss the family bond that we had with each other and all the fun times we had on and off the field. Next season, I’m very excited about playing with my teammates and hopefully making a deeper run in the playoffs,” Adrian Ellis says looking forward to next year’s season.
The Panthers pulled off a memorable season not only for the players, but for the entire school. Here’s to an even better season next year and congratulations Panthers on the impressive season.
“My favorite memory of the season is when we beat Shadow Ridge in overtime. We had our backs against the wall, but as a team we stepped up and ruined their homecoming. I’m going to miss the team chemistry and family we built as the season went on,” said Wayne Ty.
