Tik Tok is a trending social media app that is full of about one minute short videos ranging from life hacks, to beauty products, to movies, etc. Recently, the skincare brand Glow Recipe came out with two products called the “Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops” and the “Watermelon Glow PHA + BHA Pore-Tight Toner”. 

Anyone can use this product under makeup, over makeup, or just without makeup. Specifically, the “Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops” went viral for the beautiful glow that it gives the skin.  

One of the many Tik Tok influencers happened to show the products to her viewers, specifically about how the products work. @glamzilla on Tik Tok showed how she uses the “Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops”, and from that Tik Tok another beauty Tik Tok influencer @mikaylanogeira duetted @glamzilla’s video, and tried the two products out, reaching her 4.7 million followers. 

Palo Verde High School junior, Alexa Dunn, said, “I do not think it is easy to go viral on Tik Tok. It has to apply to a wide audience, and everyone has different interests and likes, so it may not apply to the Tik Tok audience.” 

Since the products went viral, (especially the “Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops”) they have been completely sold out at Sephora and glowrecipe.com. Though this product might not work for everyone, and that goes with any product. It is currently listed for $34.00 on the Sephora website. 

There are over a thousand people who have given this product a review. 

Dunn said, “I won’t buy it just because of the marketing. I need to know the ingredients, and if that’s what my skin needs. I also need to do research about the product before spending the amount of money on a product that I might not even need.”

I personally have only tried the “Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops” so far. I have sensitive and combination skin, and I found that this product hydrated my skin very well, but not too much to cause a break out with acne. 

It did not leave an oily finish on my face. With one drop, it gave me the perfect amount of glow on each cheek. You can use the product as many times as you want for that hydrating and glowy/dewy feeling and look. Since I found amazing results from this product, I would rate the “Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops” a 10/10.
