This a list of a few cafes that are local and are nice to visit after a long day of school or work. They have delicious  food and many sweet and savory things to try.  

The first cafe on this list is called “Is Sweet.” This cafe is located on 5288 Spring Mountain Road Unit 101 Las Vegas NV 89146 and is known for their cute aesthetic desserts and coffee. They have matcha crepe cake, chocolate bear cake, unicorn cake, matcha lattes, and more. There is a lot of seating within the restaurant, which happens to be a very aesthetic place. 

When I visited the place I got the Unicorn Cake, Cheesecake, and Chocolate Bear Cake along with an iced matcha. All the food is designed so well and tastes even better. The Unicorn Cake was soft and fluffy and the icing was perfect. The cheesecake was smooth with a crunchy and cinnamon crust. The Chocolate Bear Cake was so cute and covered in chocolate.  When you break the coating with your fork you get a moist chocolate cake. It was fairly affordable and tasted yummy. 

The next cafe is “MTO Cafe,” which is located in Downtown Summerlin at 1980 Festival Drive. The cafe is located across from H&M and right next to the water fountain. They offer a variety of food including salads, sandwiches, burgers, smoothies, teas, pastas and more. My go-to order is the strawberry salad because it is yummy and refreshing to eat on hot days. I also get their green tea, which is brewed to perfection. They have free wifi that can be useful for students. This is one of my favorite spots to go to after school. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as bathrooms. 

Kylie Hankens, a senior at Palo Verde High School, said “My favorite thing to eat there is their french toast and the atmosphere is really good.”

The last place is “Tiabi Coffee and Waffle Bar,” located on 4950 S Rainbow Blvd Unit 140 Las Vegas NV 99118. This cafe is very cute on the inside, but a little small. Their menu is presented on the wall, and there is always someone waiting to help you. The cafe has black walls, but are designed for the seasons. They are known for their maple bacon waffle, waffle macchiato, and have a classics menu. When I went there I got a normal waffle with strawberries and whipped cream along with an iced coffee. The waffle was a decent size, sweet, and buttery. The syrup was warm, sweet, and tasted delicious  on the waffle. The strawberries and whipped cream were fresh and refreshing. All the flavors from the waffle, strawberries, whipped cream, and syrup balanced out and were very good.  

These cafes offer a variety of things that are all good and affordable. I give “Is Sweet” a 9 out of 10 due to the yummy treats, “MTO Cafe” an 8 out of 10 due to the variety of foods, and lastly ‘Tiabi Coffee and Waffle Bar” an 8 out of 10 due to the delicious waffles.
